Preparing my equipment for an upcoming shoot in Conception, Chile. We’re departing in 6 hours - right now I’m trying to minimize weight (2 bodies, 2 lenses, 1 flash, lots of cards, iPad - no Macbook this time).

We’ll be covering a school for blind children of low-income-families which has been almost completely destroyed by the most recent series of earthquakes. These poor kids with low- or no-vision at all are being squeezed into the few remaining classrooms in a building that might collapse any time.

Assignments such as this are the hardest.

I’ll try to update this during our trip (not sure if we’ll have an internet connection over there). In the meanwhile see the NGO website for more information about the project “Vision2020 - The Right to Sight”.
